Personal Recommendations from Clients
"I was excited to train my first bird dog, a German Shorthair / Lab mix,
but didn’t know where to start. Although this was not a typical (purebred)
gun dog, Linda provided first-rate guidance and helped make our first season
a success. Her approach is straight forward and focuses on both the handler
and the dog to build a strong foundation for continued improvement. More
importantly her style is not heavy-handed which has allowed us to achieve
more in less time. Working with Linda and Cooke Canyon Hunt Club has resulted
in a very enjoyable first year and sets the stage for even better things
next fall."

“I can't say enough wonderful things about Linda and her incredible
talent with dogs. Our family was in chaos when we met her- our Rhodesian
Ridgebacks were running the show! Linda taught us about the pack mentality
and helped us regain control as pack leaders. We learned to identify situations
where our dogs were dominating us and how to reverse their behavior. Best
of all, thanks to Linda, our family's relationship with the Niko and Akila
is once again a joy.”

“We found ourselves
a few years ago with a Great Dane that was fine when Alpha Dad (my husband)
was home but did not respond to me at all during the day. At the time we
had two other dogs, both Standard poodles. I didn't know what to do. We have
7 and 9 year old children that needed a well trained dog for their protection.
I was recovering from a life threatening illness as well. Linda came to
our home and immediately got Moses on a training program. We tried all
the puppy classes but we had a selective hearing dog that weighed 130lbs!
With time and Linda's excellent advice over the phone, email and of course,
in the field, Moses eventually would come running to me and sit on my left
side waiting for instruction. Linda was extremely patient with both Moses
and me as I was so weak. She even showed up with a beautiful plant for my
dear Standard poodle that passed on. She knew how much he meant to me and
was there! The plant blooms every spring in his memory and tribute to a great
lady, trainer, and now I am proud to call her a friend. We just rescued a
Dane over Christmas so I will be calling Linda soon to help. We both HIGHLY
recommend Linda to anyone in need of help with their dog of any size!”

“I met Linda
in the parking lot of PetsMart in March 2001. My two sons and I were
going in to get a book on yellow labs when I saw Tex in his kennel with a
"Don't Mess with Texas" sign. Being from Texas myself and a dog lover I
went over to talk to her and see Tex. I immediately knew she was someone I
wanted to get to know because she is so friendly and personable. She informed
me that Tex had just sired a new litter. She gave me the info on where to
find the puppies and of course I fell in love with one of them. We visited
Luke every week until he was ready to come home. After that, Linda was instrumental
in his training. He has spent a lot of time with her and has turned
out to be an absolute joy and a definite welcome to our family. Linda is
a natural at dog training. I have seen her with other dogs besides mine and
they all respond to her with love and respect because that is what she gives
them. I trust NO ONE else with Luke except Linda. When we go out of
town Linda is the only person I will leave him with. I trust her completely.
I sometimes get a little jealous of her because when Luke sees her he immediately
goes to her truck and waits to get in!!”
