Gun Dog Training
Introductions to birds, whistle, duck call, blinds, boats and the gun.
The dogs learn basic field obedience and quartering drill work. Day trips
are included to Cooke Canyon Hunt Club in Ellensberg, Washington for live
pheasants, chuckers and quail work.
Electronic Collar Conditioning
Introduction
For those who choose to use a collar for their advanced field training,
this program is meant to teach you, as the owner, how to use this training
equipment in the correct and humane way. I plan to teach humane collar techniques
to the owner and make certain the dogs know how to turn off all collar pressure.
AKC Hunt Tests and United Kennel Club (UKC) Hunting Retriever Test (HRT)
Competition Training
Specializing in the started dog. Studying to wing and shot, line manners
with the introduction to hunt test scenerios and blinds. Beginning handling
on Baseball drill and first introduction to sight
blinds progressing to pattern blinds. The dog will learn different commands,
how to whistle sit and practice with "T" pattern drill work. Personal coaching
for the owners is essential to understanding the rules for running a dog
in one of these field events.
Off Lead Field Obedience
The program is designed for those families who own breeds other than hunting
breeds. Many people want to take advantage of their local dog parks but have
no off lead obedience when it counts. The introduction to water is also available.
All breeds are welcome but I specialize in sight hounds.
